There are plants that are easy to grow at home . Each, however, has slightly different requirements. It is worth getting acquainted with them – they are usually written on a label stuck in the pot. Before we decide to buy, let’s also think where it will be standing – the plant needs certain sun conditions. What about the size? This is also an important question: how much space does the plant occupy now, and how much space will it need in a few years?

1. Pendulous stick insect

Although his lush, juicy green hair may confuse us, the hanging stick insect belongs to succulents. It grows quickly and does not need too much water – it is enough to water it once every 4-8 weeks. It grows well in partial shade. Requires a well-drained substrate that can easily drain excess water. You can compose them yourself from flower bed, sand and peat in a 1: 1: 1 ratio or use a ready-made mixture available in stores, sometimes enriched with long-acting fertilizer.

The best substrate for it is a mixture of flower, sand and gravel in a ratio of 3: 1: 1.

Plants like this are true elegance. They grow from underground fluff, arranging beautifully – thick, shiny, dark green leaves. They look very effective and clean the air perfectly. Zamiokulkas grows for a long time, not in a hurry. Reaches a height of approx. 1 meter. Its resistance to adverse conditions is so high that it is called an iron plant. It only does not tolerate overflow. He likes partial shade positions and a fertile, humus substrate.

Its color is more intense when we apply fertilizer. However, you have to remember that it is a poisonous plant – it is not recommended for homes with small children and pets.

6. Ficus

This plant needs no introduction – everyone knows the ficus in many varieties. Each of them effectively cleans the air of toxins. The simplest to cultivate are: springy, climbing, cyathistipula and bejamin. Ficus likes fertile, water-permeable soil, partial shade or sunny places, and moderate watering. And that’s about it when it comes to ficus requirements. You can very often buy it in an attractive form resembling a bonsai tree.

7. Triple

The characteristic arrangement of the leaves adds extraordinary charm to the small threefold. Its different varieties are characterized by a variety of leaf colors – from deep green and purple to striped green-white-pink patterns. The triple shoots grow quickly, hanging outside the pot. The threefold doesn’t need much – just a place in the sun or partial shade, a flower bed with 1: 1 peat and moderate watering.
